This vendor code of conduct outlines expectations for acceptable behavior, content standards, and consequences for violations — and every vendor on e-SwapMeet agrees to follow this vendor code of conduct before listing a single product.
1. Professional Conduct
Vendors are expected to:
- Interact respectfully with customers, support staff, and other vendors.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve disputes in good faith.
- Represent themselves and their businesses truthfully.
- Maintain active and functional stores that comply with platform policies.
2. Content Standards
Vendors must ensure all materials used on their store pages — including usernames, product listings, images, and store branding — comply with the content standards set out in this vendor code of conduct.
Prohibited Content
- Profanity: No curse words, slurs, or offensive language in store names, product titles, descriptions, or images.
- Sexually Explicit or Suggestive Content: Pornography, nudity, or adult content of any kind is strictly forbidden.
- Violent or Graphic Imagery: Including images depicting harm, weapons, or disturbing visuals.
- Hate Speech: Content that promotes racism, sexism, homophobia, or other forms of discrimination is not allowed.
- Inappropriate Usernames: Vendor usernames must be family-friendly and non-offensive.
- Trolling, Spam, or Misinformation: Listings must be clear, honest, and non-deceptive.
Prohibited Products
e-SwapMeet strictly prohibits the listing or sale of the following product categories. Vendors found offering any of these items are subject to immediate suspension and permanent removal from the platform:
- Recalled or unsafe products — any item subject to an active recall by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) or similar regulatory body.
- Counterfeit or knockoff goods — items that infringe on trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights, including unauthorized replicas of branded merchandise.
- Weapons, ammunition, and explosives — firearms, knives marketed as weapons, tasers, pepper spray, fireworks, and any related accessories.
- Controlled or regulated substances — drugs, drug paraphernalia, CBD/THC products, alcohol, and tobacco products.
- Hazardous materials — flammable liquids, toxic chemicals, pesticides, and items requiring special handling or disposal.
- Stolen property — any item obtained through theft, fraud, or otherwise unlawful means.
- Live animals and human remains — no living creatures, animal parts (ivory, fur from endangered species), or human biological material.
- Medical devices and prescription items — products that require a prescription, FDA approval, or professional supervision to sell or use.

3. Image Guidelines
Images uploaded must:
- Accurately represent the product being sold.

- Not include people in provocative or inappropriate poses.
- Not display any content that could be interpreted as suggestive, obscene, or offensive.
4. Monitoring and Enforcement
To uphold this vendor code of conduct and maintain community trust:
- Our team will conduct periodic reviews of vendor content.
- Users and vendors may report inappropriate listings, usernames, or stores.
- Vendors who upload offensive or non-compliant material may be:
- Warned on first offense.
- Temporarily suspended for repeated violations.
- Permanently banned for severe or repeated abuse.
- Subscription fees will not be refunded if terminated due to violations.
